In an effort to pull back the curtain on some of the mysterious workings of KyleParkinson.com, I’m tracking my thought process as relates to the blog today. I guess technically I’m not posting each update live, but honestly, have you been checking back all day for live updates? I didn’t think so. Thanks, I thought we were friends. Wow, way to passive-aggressively send a signal. Now I’m kind of mad I bought you that Sex on the Beach shot on your birthday last year. “Friends forever” my ass. Anyway, so yeah here it is, Behind the Blog: KyleParkinson.com.

9:26am: Checked www.kyleparkinson.com. Damn, I really like this site.

9:34am: Checked the site again. Nothing has changed… because I’m the only author.

10:15am: Caffeine kicking in. Multi-tasking, so maybe I’ll check out the site and consider posting or updating the design.

10:52am: This blog is stupid. Must be the caffeine talking.

11:27am: I’m hungry. I probably shouldn’t post on an empty stomach. Should I get Mastrelli’s? I had it yesterday, so maybe it would be too much to get it again today. On the other hand, it’s fucking delicious, and I’ve got a frequent buyer card with 10 stamps, and a free lunch is a free lunch. All this thinking is making me even hungrier.

12:34pm: Still no lunch. Work business. Mastrelli’s is pretty much a necessity at this point. This has nothing to do with my blog, I’m sorry.

12:40pm: Somebody around me just got what smells like a delicious cheeseburger and fries. It’s go time. FUCK, more work. Can I pull the hypoglycemia card? Technically, I could. Hmm. Ooh, there’s Swedish fish on the table. Still no blog posts today, but I’m really considering it.

2:21pm: Everyone else is posting this new Art Brut video. Maybe I should check it out and consider posting.

2:26pm: Yes! I’m posting the video. Not only is the song fantastic (as had been decided a while back when I first heard it), but wow, great video.

2:34pm: Duff. Sometimes I struggle with things like embedding videos. And talking to members of the opposite sex.

2:35pm: Phew, solved that problem. The embedding videos one. Still working on trying to talk to members of the opposite sex.

2:58pm: New post idea (thanks to Candace): I think I’ll do a review of the reviews of the iPhone. Mossberg and Pogue have already reviewed it. I’m sure 18 million other people will review it as soon as they get their hands on it. Might as well make fun of the redundancy.

3:46pm: I just stared at my “About” page for 34 straight minutes. I am a handsome man!

4:40pm: It is decided that I’d be in a much better posting mindset from the comfort of my own bedroom, after a bunch of drinks. This is how my mind works all day, every day.

4:53pm: Spent a long time deciding on an image to accompany this post. Settled on DSC00613.JPG. Such raw emotion. And that’s really what this blog is all about.
