Fine Boots
Usually I’m not a huge fan of mashups. They generally seem forced and fail to combine the songs in a compelling way. Fortunately, such is not the case with this new mix of Opus III’s classic “Fine Day” and Little Boots‘ “Stuck on Repeat.” It slowly brings in aspects of each song so that you’re not overwhelmed by hooks coming from all over the place, and the melodies complement each other rather nicely. It comes as no surprise that the mix belongs to Richard X, the man behind one of my favorites of all time, “Into U,” combining Jarvis and Hope. Wonderful. Enjoy both songs below.
